Nature; Wild and Otherwise

Sprit is alive in all living beings: flora, fauna, humanity. We imbue all living things with our own perspective on Life. Painting allows me to channel and refine my perspective. To, just for that moment, make the abstract concept real. I compare it to my love of singing; once the song ends, the glory of the music is only a memory, released into the ether; untouchable, invisible. And yet, somehow, it is still present. To cover the canvas with my sticks of light is to capture and hopefully conjure my perspective into something permanent: touchable, visible. And in doing that, I am audaciously humbled to somehow feel I have come in contact with the Divine. It is a good time.
